Today, I went to Best Buy, with my brother, for a ride. I found Chris, Chin and Sydney shopping. More importantly, I found an electric guitar to fiddle with at the home theatre department. Electric guitar is far more forgiving than acoustic guitars. I want an electric guitar.
Exhausted
28 April 2006 at 11:44 PM
I am tapped out after the 35 laps of swimming which is 1050 yards. I swapped my rollerblade wheels from the new boot to my old Bauer blades. I found that two wheels had ABEC 7 bearings. I now have ABEC 7s on both of my back wheels. I am experimenting because my back hurts from something with the new blades. I am just hoping that it's because the wheels are too new. We'll see.

Realization:
Last night, rollerbladed 7 miles with Lindsay. Night before, half a mile swim with Travis. Tonight, another half mile swim. That seems to be the only highlight of my life as of late. Not including my 7:30PM phone dates with Nohemi, of course.
Conclusion:
The, nurture inflicted, strive for more is what makes me overlook my current achievements. The only "more" that I need in my life is appreciation of what I have.
Appreciate the journey but don't ignore the destination.

I really like the show How I Met Your Mother. It's funny but I have the feeling that they're going to cancel it. Of maybe that's how the schedule of shows go but they only release two episodes a month and it's driving me nuts!
I went to Detroit for work today. Didn't do my regular swimming thing today either. Driving is exhausting.

The Italian Grand Prix was this weekend. I had to TiVo the race since CBS meddles with the broadcast of Formula 1 in the U.S. They buy rights to a handful of races and show it tape delayed! Speed Channel shows the rest live. So I was watching the race and napped a bit during. The rest as helped a lot. Michael won the race.
A Seemingly Short Weekend
Friday night, I yapped with my mom and Mark until 3 in the morning. I went home and slept by 4 o'clock then woke up at 9 to go to Saginaw. Left for Saginaw at 10:30 Saturday morning and arrived there at 1 o'clock. Hanged around at John's place for a bit then played golf. Terrible round for me. The course sucked and so did I. After golf, we headed to the shop to run the OBDII on my car. We played indoor soccer in the shop. George and Gus vs John and me and we lost 10-5. I don't know how to play soccer. Met up with Darwin, Jeannie and Jaden at John's place. Drove to Gus' in-laws to fly his plane. The drive took about 10 minutes the flight took about 10 seconds. The plane crashed and the propeller broke. Dropped off and set up a computer for John's dad. The call to install DSL took a while. Left Saginaw at 11PM and arrived back to Kalamazoo at 1 in the morning. Went to work 11 this morning to do some wiring. That didn't happen, instead some tidying up and set up of the rack took its place. Now I am back home exhausted. This was an exhausting weekend. Tomorrow, I will be going to Detroit for work.
Game On!
19 April 2006 at 11:23 AM
Yesterday, I played a round at Milham Park Golf Course with Travis. There has definitely been an improvement in my game from last year. My objective this year it to learn how to putt.

A couple of days ago, I bought Dawson's Creek Sixth Season from Best Buy for Nohemi. The cashier chick was overly excited about finding out that it was out on DVD. In fact, I was so embarrassed by her reaction that I think I blushed. If blushing makes your face all warm then I must have blushed.
In The News
17 April 2006 at 10:19 AM
Nohemi told about a story that she heard on the Spanish news. After searching in Google News I found this article. You should also expect this in your future travels: Passenger Detained Over Song Choice. I am not trying to imply anything but the discrepancy:

For Jesus. I thought, he must be American. What?! An Aussie?! Nope he's both.

Last Friday, Travis and Chris raved about the wonderful day we were having. It drizzled a bit and was in the 60s. Yesterday, I thought was a wonderful day... 75 degrees and sunny. Today Chris is raving about the weather and it's 50 degrees outside. So what do you refer to as a wonderful day?
Today, I went to watch Lucky Number Slevin with my mom and Mark. I liked it but have read terrible reviews about it. I think, the critics still hold to their unbiased standard. I on the otherhand am just comparing it to ATL, Phat Girls & Kalamazoo. Oh Lord, they hath createth a movie about Kalamazoo. Is this Your sign for the end of the world?
PS
After the movie, an idiot with a Grand Am tried to drag race with me. My mom and Mark were in the car... the BMW. Word to the losers out there, if you have a piece of shit Grand Am.. don't take on anything other than a ricer.

My Boredom Resolution
15 April 2006 at 1:29 AM
I have been wasting a lot of my idle time watching videos at YouTube and browsing pictures on Flickr. On TV, I am currently preoccupied with Ultimate Fighter 3. I am paying attention to UFC because Royce Gracie is schedule to fight again against the current UFC champ.
Today, Travis and I played a round at Eastern Hills. I was putting and chipping considerably better than before. I just realized that my eyes are moving around too much when I putt. I never just focus on one spot and I tend to follow the club instead of focusing on a spot on the ball. I don't know what the proper way is but this method has helped in sinking a lot of 5 to 10 footers. The round started a bit shaky but on the third hole I was relaxed. I can't wait to play more this season.

Six More Miles
14 April 2006 at 10:08 PM
Getting Good Friday off from work is one of the cool things about working for a German company. Being able to sleep in on the day off from work makes for an extra nice Friday. I was planning on golfing today but I didn't because of the weird drizzling action this afternoon. Instead, I went to the hayaus to help clean and pack things. Mark and I took a break and went to the mall to look for shoes. At eight, I went rollerblading with Lindsay from Kilgore to Garden Lane and back. I have a feeling that I will be sleeping well tonight.
An Active Lifestyle
11 April 2006 at 10:38 PM
After work today, Lindsay and I rollerbladed 6 miles at the trails around Portage. We started at Kilgore and meandered around the trails close to Garden Lane. If we went all the way to the Portage Library it would have been a 4.6 mile trek one way. I was using my new rollerblades and was unaccustomed to the smoothness of the new wheels. My lower back was hurting at first but once I was warmed up everything was smooth sailing. Tomorrow will be a rest day. I cannot continue on working out this intensely. I'll continue with the half mile swim on Thursday.
Bland
It's been a few days so I should have something to say. Last Thursday, Andrea popped out a baby. Adrian has a little baby brother now. Saturday, I picked up Mark from O'Hare and he's here for summer break. Sunday, I cleaned the Honda after 4 years of neglect which shows (both the neglect and the cleaning). Yesterday, I swam half a mile.Today, I am going rollerblading from Kilgore to Garden Lane and back after work. Right now, I am eagerly waiting for Nohemi to get back from her activities for the day so I can chat with her on Skype.
At lunch, we are going to the driving range with a camcorder, a laptop with golf swing analysis software. Why you ask? Because we are golf nerds.

A 600% Increase In Productivity
07 April 2006 at 12:49 PM
I should get a bonus because of the 600% spike in my productivity! Who else in the company is currently more industrious than me? Last time that I went to the sales office, I had to plug in a fax machine. This time, six patch cords needed to be plugged in. Hence the 600%... actually it's 1200% because I actually plugged in both sides of the patch cord.
As sad as it may seem though, I haven't a rant. I am actually disappointed about not having anything to complain about. Maybe I should just head back to Kalamazoo.

CNET's Insider Secrets
06 April 2006 at 3:21 PM
Veronica's Make your PC look like a Mac piece in Insider Secrets is up. They need to make more videos with her in it. She conveys information and is mesmerizing to look at, how could yo ugo wrong?
This all started because Chris mentioned to me his CNET profile. He was filling in his Got It list so I jumped in to add stuff on mine too. I bumped into Veronica's article (it's actually the very first one on the front page, hard to miss really) and this post came to being.

At Wayside

We did our, now, usual trip to Wayside last Friday. It was Mindy's friend, Julie's birthday. I brought along a camera just in case Mindy planned something to embarrass Julie. No surprises, we had our free pizza and ordered our beer. Relaxed for a bit and headed home.
I had some rants saved as drafts but none were worth posting. However, I am driving to the sales office in Detroit tomorrow so rants will be posted.
End of Experiment!
03 April 2006 at 5:12 PM
Experiment: No non work related internet usage at work for a day.
The ordeal did not turn out as bad as I thought it would be. Mostly because I was somewhat busy and had things to keep me occupied. I know, I would haven't lasted if I conducted the experiment on a Friday. I even sneaked in a Flickr upload which shouldn't count as an internet activity. It was just an upload!
Now for the weekend summary, Friday evening I went to Wayside with Travis, Mindy and friends. Went home after and relaxed. Saturday, picked up my mom from O'Hare and went home and yapped with my mom. Sunday, watched V for Vendetta with Travis then went home and relaxed. I didn't get to play golf this weekend but it wasn't bad overall. I knew that something must trigger the trough-ing. Can't crest forever, y'know.

Evaporated Vaporware
Starcraft:Ghost was the reason that I bought my XBOX a couple of years ago. During the time, the XBOX was the fastest game console. Logically, a new game that would be released for PS2, GameCube and XBOX would look best on the best hardware spec console.
This year, Starcraft:Ghost was named one of the best vaporware, along with Windows Vista. For the past couple of days, I have been seeing people hit my site for Starcraft:Ghost images. Wondering about the cause, I went to Blizzard's site and found that they completely removed Starcraft:Ghost!

Australian Grand Prix
I just finished watching an absolutely insane Formula 1 race. Four safety cars which is common in NASCAR but rather odd in F1. Fernando Alonso was brilliant and made the win look as easy as Michael Schumacher. Unusual, rare mistake from Michael. Also a rare mistake from Peter Windsor of Speed Channel during the post race interview. He said first season win for Fernando eventhough he also won Bahrain. The look between him and Kimi was priceless. They look like two little kids laughing at a teacher. A spectacular KA-BLAMO! from Jensen Button's car which stopped a few feet from the finish line. Crazy but definitely exciting!
