I bought an actual journal/diary type thing from Barnes and Noble this weekend. Unexpectedly, I really enjoy writing in it. It's no blog but a blog is no journal either.

Does painting a room qualify under the category home improvement? Nohemi and I are planning to paint one of the rooms this weekend. I am off to Meijers in a bit to get some putty to fill the hole that I made on the wall when I dropped a TV stand against it.

STFU!

Sitting close to me at work is a new bean counter. His actions leads me to believe that he used to count beans in a library because I have heard numerous complaints from him that I or we are too loud. Do I need to make an excuse a reason for being "loud" while in discussion with colleagues at work? Okay, the HVAC is screwed up and is uber loud and we have to yell to be able to hear each other. Yesterday, as I left work, bc approached me and asked if I could refrain from using my speakerphone because he was in a conference call and people on the other line asked if he was in a bar. It's both amusing and ridiculous.

Relativity

The only drawback of being happy is that you have nothing to complain about and consequently nothing to blog about.

Clean

Nohemi and I cleaned my play room. It is now back to its normal appearance. The clutter that I had, the junk scattered everywhere is not back in a more organized manner. I am so looking forward to playing house with Nohemi again.

Starbucks Card

I got my free $10 Starbucks Card in the mail today. I claimed the points that I accumulated on my checking account rewards points thing so tomorrow I get coffee for free. Well, kinda. Tomorrow, Nohemi will be back! I am so happy. My mom is heading back to California tomorrow which makes me bummed because I have gotten used to her here.

Impulse

I had an overwhelming urge to shop for something this afternoon. I don't know what caused it because I was sitting in front of the TV when the itch started. I went to the Cingular store at Westnedge to see if I can find a phone for Nohemi. Then I drove to Kohl's and ended up buying shoes. I like 'em:

After that, I went to Target and bought a sweater. Now I am back home trying to get caught up with Jericho.

Listen Faster!

Yesterday, I switched from T-Mobile to Cingular and from a BlackBerry 7100 to a BlackBerry 8700c.  While in the process of switching, the lady in the number porting department asked me if I had caught my breath after putting me on a brief hold.  She said that it sounded like I was not able tp catch my breath.  At first, I thought I had the mic piece of the phone too close to my nose (sometimes Nohemi complains that I am breathing on the mic when we talk) but it wasn't the case.  She said what she said because she percieved my speaking tempo as a person that is trying to catch their breath.  I wasn't talking at my normal pace, I was actually relaxed and wasn't squeezing-most-words-per-breath mode.  I took offense to this because it has been made a okay for slow people to be slow but people that function at a faster rate are openly ridiculed.

Conclusion, as a form of protest, I am going to start telling people to listen faster when they tell me to slow down.

Anxiety

Previous post, I announced that I am unaffected by pressure(recently only). But why is it that I have had two really anxious dreams(last night and night before)? I have had people from work show up in my dream asking me for my personal laptop for them to use. That kind of request got me all bothered... I don't want them to see what kind of porn I download!

The Games Have Commenceth

I don't know if I would consider it as something good or something that just is. Now is probably the time that is the busiest for me at work this year. My projects are doubling up and things are also going fast at home... Nohemi is coming back next week. However, I find myself unfazed by the "pressure". I think it is because of the nature of the professional world, you have people that need their stuff done yesterday but was actually a whim. I just don't feel the pressure, I see it simply as it is, a task that needs completing.

Suzuka

I am rooting for Fernando Alonso to win the F1 championship but I was very disappointed with how the race in Japan turned out. Michael's DNF sucked because it completely killed the excitement of the fight for the championship. Now if you're rooting for Michael to win in Brazil, you're also hoping that Alonso's engine blows up there too. It's not a nice race anymore. It's going to turn out into a hexing contest betweens the fans.

Saturday Golf...

... if you could call it that. I played so terribly. I shot a 53 mostly because of the super fast aerated greens. I couldn't compensate for the fast greens that were riddled with holes which remove or alter the break that I couldn't read to begin with. So I had a bazillion 3 putts which netted me the above mentioned 53. Plus to add to that, my drives all faded/sliced/tailed. Not a single straight drive.

Since I was feeling glum as a result of the bust that was Saturday golf, I headed towards the Mazda dealership. They have 3 MX-5s, a sport, a touring, and a grand touring. The grand touring one they have is black which isn't the silver that I want. I should have gone in and asked to test drive it but I don't want to leave all sad. The day I test drive an MX-5 is the day I take one home with me.

Nohemi is finally coming back on October 18. It has been more than a year and I don't know how much longer I could have lasted. I am super excited and can't wait until she's back with me.
