Vivimos en un edificio muy alto

30 March 2007 at 11:30 AM

Not really but that's my Spanish phrase for the day. I haven't seen a phrase that I did not understand. Today's phrase translates to We live in a very tall building. This has really been a long week. But it's almost over.

A Long Day

27 March 2007 at 8:52 PM

I went to the South Bend plant today. It has been about two years since I last visited that location. We did a little bit of wiring. Went back to Portage and did more wiring. It has been a long and exhausting day.

Twitter

I now have a twitter account... http://www.twitter.com/hywell.

Relief

25 March 2007 at 6:03 PM

I just returned from a good hour of hitting balls in the driving range. My drives, irons and rescue woods are still intact from last fall. Game on! Game on!

Themes

It looks like the broken feed thing in my personalized Google page is a result of the new themes feature. It looks like adding a theme, even though you select the default Google theme fixes the link problems.

Nohemi and I are going for a walk then I am heading to the range. I ended up surfing for pr0n instead of going to the range earlier. Obviously, that pr0n surfing is to solicit a smile from you and not your prejudice... 455h013!

Encouragement

The weather is nice. I am going to the driving range today. I already have the clubs in the trunk of the car.

Forgot

23 March 2007 at 7:13 PM

I forgot to post today with my Spanish phrase from my calendar. I was busy playing with Asterisk with IAX2. Installed the card for Albion, picked up Nohemi's Lladro figurines from her mom.

No Naruto this week!Bummer.

La historia del patito feo tiene un final feliz

Estás muy guapa con ese vestido

21 March 2007 at 9:13 AM

I got a desk calendar thing that has a daily phrase in Spanish. I've decided to share the phrase here daily. It'll be my subject from now on. Yesterday's phrase was Shakira es muy guapa.

web two point oh

20 March 2007 at 1:40 PM

I was thinking about registering hywll.org or hywll.com so I can say I'm web 2.0.

Hungry

It looks like the feed thing in Google will never work right. It has started acting up and has never been working right.

Conniption

19 March 2007 at 11:36 PM

I had a conniption at work earlier this morning. I just got pissed off over the display of laziness of a user. I have actively been trying to be organized but in order to keep the system working procedures must be followed. I have to capture everything in various inboxes. Some people are too fucking lazy that they cannot even bother to send out an email. Instead they walk over and yap. I had a user come over and mention a little issue, and then another, and then another. Three mother fucking issues... where in the mother fucking, cock-sucking hell is the god damn fucking traceability in the blabbering over my shoulder? I could just turn on my passive aggressive mode on an let the whining go in one ear and out the other but I am trying to improve myself here. I could also have written the issues that were brought up to me verbally but they tend to abuse that privilege.

F1 2007

17 March 2007 at 11:29 PM

The Formula 1 season started today. I race at Australia is going on right now. Kimi, Hamilton and Fernando Alonso is the current running order.

Update:
Actual podium was Kimi, Alonso, Hamilton. The British press are all licking their chops and are breaking balls about the Hamilton kid. I also notice that the three guys at Speed channel only root for the Brits and ex-colonials now that Michael retired. F1 is weird without Schummy there.

Drafts

14 March 2007 at 4:30 PM

Recently, I have been saving things that I write into drafts. I had so much more to say but I am too lazy to mold my thoughts into something coherent.

Weather was nice yesterday. Today... rain. Tomorrow... snow. On the upside, we can play golf again soon.

DST 2007

12 March 2007 at 9:59 PM

The new daylight savings time change has royally screwed up a lot of things at work. Even though we tried to stay on top of it, things still broke. We are a relatively small company and I would hate to see the issues that bigger places had to go through today. I think, more things broke that Y2K.

eBay

10 March 2007 at 10:32 PM

I hate buying things from eBay! I bought a power supply for my XBOX and the first one "had an error in his database" and had to refund my money. I bought another power supply from another vendor this one doesn't reply to emails. Seriously, I don't understand the justification of paying $5 cheaper for a product and adding an $11.95 shipping charge. However you put it, that's $7 bucks more than getting it locally.

Coat Closet

09 March 2007 at 11:32 PM

Nohemi and I are currently redoing the coat closet. I've been wanting to expand the capacity of the closet by making it two tiers. Nohemi and I have a lot of coats. She suggested to shift the rack to the adjacent wall. It really has changed the look and feel of the closet because of the shift. Can't wait to finish painting it.

Update:
It's done.

08 March 2007 at 10:55 AM

Fin.

OMG WTF APRIL 23?

05 March 2007 at 10:56 PM

Yeah, that's in reference to the show. If you have to ask what show...
Dammit! I'm addicted to a freakin' soap!

Slipstream

04 March 2007 at 1:45 PM

I am installing XP on a SATA drive. If you've done this before, you are thinking "he'll need to load the drivers via a floppy". If this was 1990 something then you would have been right but nowadays slipstreaming is the way to go. I've already zip-tied my cables in the PC and I am not about to unbundle them. Anyway, after very little amount of googling, I found driverpacks.net. This app will allow you to inject driver packs into a slipstreamed CD of XP. The LAN, WLAN, and mass storage driver packs gave me wood.

Update:
Don't forget to check the DriverPack MassStorage text mode check box in the Select the DriverPacks to slipstream section. It makes a world of difference with mass storage and probably not as crucial as other drivers.

Joost

03 March 2007 at 11:09 PM

I am a Joost beta tester. Want an invite? I have two.

Gen 2 Nano

Nohemi bought me a second gen nano today. We traded, she kept my 4GB nano and I got a 2GB nano. At first, it was going to be a iPod shuffle but the connectors for the shuffle is USB only. I wasn't about to buy all my accessories again so we returned it for the nano. Nohemi said that I cost her more than a retarded kid... in Spanish.

Update:
"Me sales mas caro que un niño tonto"

Abuse

I installed VMWare server on my laptop after the memory upgrade. I just finished installing Ubuntu and is in the process of configuring. Concurrently, I am preparing to install Trixbox on another VM.

Weak and Powerless

This reminds me of Tool.

Tilling my own grave to keep me level
Jam another dragon down the hole
Digging to the rhythm and the echo of a solitary siren
One that pushes me along and leaves me so

Desperate and Ravenous
I'm so weak and powerless over you

Someone feed the monkey while I dig in search of China
White as Dracula as I approach the bottom

Desperate and Ravenous
I'm so weak and powerless over you

Pale angel go away
Come again some other day
The devil has my ear today
I'll never hear of what you say
Promised I would find a little solace
And some piece of mind
Whatever just as long as I don't feel so

Desperate and Ravenous
I'm so weak and powerless over you
Desperate and Ravenous
I'm so weak and powerless
over you

Upgraded

02 March 2007 at 10:04 PM

My 120GB hard drive and 1GB RAM arrived in the mail today. Immediately was installed into the laptop. Travis is right, there's a noticeable difference between 512MB & 1Gb of RAM. Now more of the fun task of rebuilding.
