Standard Overnight

My Medicus Dual Hinge 7 Iron 2007 arrived via FedEx today. Actually, it was delivered to the wrong address but since I was constantly tracking, I was able to see that it was not at the right place. Eventually, it made its way to my door step.

After work, I headed home, picked up the Medicus and went to the range. I was having issues hitting the ball with the Medicus. An older guy used my trying to get the Medicus not to break as his form of amusement. It took a while but I was eventually able to hit the ball... not too far though. The weirdest thing is that the moment I played with it in living room, it wasn't breaking. I also tried my Titleist DCI 990Bs at the range. I was surprised how well I hit them considering that according to the Medicus my swing was effed up. Well, the first dozen balls and the pitching wedge was not a pretty sight. After though, it was equal or better distance compared to my Clevelands. We'll how well they work for me tomorrow at Eastern.

Medicus Dual Hinge 7 Iron

After this weekend's scramble at Saginaw with John and Darwin, I was forced to buy a Medicus Dual Hinge 7 Iron to help with my swing. I found one on eBay and bought it this morning. Hopefully, my swearing at the course would lessen after using this training tool.

Arnis

The History Channel has a new show on called Human Weapon. This week's episode is about eskrima or arnis. I know it as arnis and is the type of stick fighting that I learned one summer. It was fun to watch it on TV and reminded me of how much fun it was. I can't wait to show Darwin or Nishanth the move that I saw on show.

Caught Up

After about two weeks of diet and exercise, exercise the more constant in my case, exhaustion has finally caught up with me. I have been getting up at 7 o'clock in the morning the past couple of weeks and working out. I have been eating a healthy diet that I somewhat wavered from in the past couple of days. This morning, however, I didn't get out in bed until 11 o'clock. I slept from 1 o'clock last night, and did not feel a thing, until 11 this morning. I've decided to give myself a bit of rest from my morning workout this weekend.

Ball Buster Tournament

Darwin and I are heading to Saginaw this Sunday to play a 3-man scramble with John at his course. We were suppose to go last year but for one reason or another we didn't. This year the Ball Buster Tournament is going to happen!

Last night, at the league, I figured out that I was standing too close to the ball. After adjusting a little for it, I was hitting the ball better and more consistent. The issue with my chipping has yet to be addressed. I am glad that I can actually putt. Otherwise I would have probably quit playing.

Eating Healthy

I have been trying to eat healthy for the past week. Today, I had grilled Great lakes White Fish with vegetables from Red Lobster. I enjoy the whole process but I cannot wait until it's steak and vegetables day again.

No More Veronica Belmont at CNET

Today was Veronica's last day at CNET. I like The unseen moments clip from CNET TV. Hopefully, the Mahalo podcast that she's moving to will not be so G rated like the stuff from CNET. A little bit of spice in the language really makes it easier to listen.

Routine

Went swimming today for a half mile with Travis at the pool in the clubhouse. I so needed that expenditure of pent up energy and three weeks of break from routine is harsh.

SiCKO

Nohemi and I watched Michael Moore's newest movie SiCKO. It was very enlightening.

Americans Are Not Stupid

For the past couple of years, I have been talking about buying Doc Martens boots. I talked and talked and finally I gave in and bought black ones from Okun Brothers at downtown Kalamazoo. They special ordered the ones I wanted because they didn't carry the classic soles version of the boots.

Golf League

I played badly yesterday at the league. I need to go to the range and fix my swing. The weekend at Saginaw has really done a number on my golf swing.

I Need A Vacation!

I feel drained but I am really not. I need to get out of this place and change my environment. I am sick of attitudes, whining and a myriad of other annoying behaviors. I want to be in a what-should-we-do-for-fun-tomorrow mode instead of reality. I have the feeling that I am going to snap soon and do something rash that I will end up regretting. August can't come any sooner.

Exhausting Weekend

Saturday, Darwin and I went to Saginaw for some golf action. We played at Saw Mill GC. First round, Darwin and John both shot 76s, I shot a 94. Swam at the pool for a little bit then played another 14 holes. I didn't get back home until 2:30AM.

Sunday, went to work for wiring and packing.

Na hidlaw man ako ba!

Nohemi and I went to Coney Island then went for a walk around downtown.
