The Debates

26 September 2008 at 10:28 PM

Uhm, why did Mc Cain not acknowledge Obama's presence during the debate? It was very condescending, I thought. Kind of like the "when are they bringing the chicken wings" type comment about Tiger by an old white golfer. It was the one non-verbal behavior that made me feel uneasy and uncomfortable. I also don't think that Mc Cain is capable of conviencing me to vote for him. Plus the senate vernacular that Mc Cain was using gave me the feeling that he is trying to do a sleight of hands trick on me.

The Binden-Palin debate should be entertaining.

Camper Twins

24 September 2008 at 9:53 AM

I bought my first Camper Twins this summer while in Mallorca. I got some asymmetric laced twins. Like a fool, I undid the laces and didn't know how to lace them the way it was in the store. After some on and off searching, I found a site that carried the shoe in a different color.

The last concert I have gone to was an NSYNC concert in Chicago with Nohemi, Darwin, John & Jeannie.... back in 2002. Obviamente, it was a venue for Nohemi & Jeannie. But on the 15th of November, I am dragging Nohemi to van Andel to watch Nine Inch Nails. I have been a long time fan but have never seen them in concert. I regret to this day not going to a Rage Against the Machine concert here in Kalamazoo years ago. I just hope there wont be any "Yeah! Don't look, mother fucker!" incidents after the concert. I am stoked!

Walks on the Beach

19 September 2008 at 11:24 AM

Nohemi and I had gone to South Haven to watch the sunset and walk on the beach twice this week. First time was at south beach. It was really eroded from the storms that we had last weekend. The sky was clear and the sunset was beautiful. Tonight, we went to north beach. It didn't seem as damaged from the storms. We walked for an hour and a half. Tonight though it was a little cloudy but the sunset was gorgeous.

I Don't Get It

10 September 2008 at 4:22 PM

Are the Republicans expecting John Mc Cain to die, if elected? Why the big fuss over Sarah Palin? Seriously, am I the only one that thinks she's nothing more than a Dan Quayle with a vagina? Something that is pleasant to look at but is absolutely useless.

As a voter/citizen/American, I demand more than the current bullshit. Give us some substance. Talk about issues that matter. What's up with the war? What's up with the economy? And please, spare me the religious issues like abortion and stem cell research. The election is less than 8 weeks away. I don't give care if Obama is a Muslim or Palin is charging for mileage. I want to know, if the next administration be able to stimulate the economy out of the current crisis?

Heading Back

06 September 2008 at 5:02 PM

I am bummed that my stay in Spain is ending tomorrow. I need to find a way to stay here indefinitely.

El Perro Loco

After waiting for the restaurant to open from vacation, I finally had my perro rabioso (con extra salsa) last night. Vincente the guy who takes the order is a machine! There was a huge crowd in the restaurant (packed and people who were dining in were lined up outside). Aparrently, I wasn´t the only one in the neighborhood jonesing for hotdogs and a burger. We had to wait for an hour to get our takeout order but worth it.

Next week is back to reality time. Someone at work couldn´t wait and decided to call at 2 o´clock in the morning!

We went to Port des Canonje this morning. I swam. I almost pooped my pants on the twisty drive in and out. The soil and rocks were red from the high iron content.

Tonight, we went with Apolonia, Juan & Ignacio to the correfoc at Santa Ponsa. It was awesome! There was also a foam party after the fireworks. Nothing better to collect a bunch of young Germans than foam and thumping rave music. There lots of English and Spanish too:)

Yum

02 September 2008 at 4:09 PM

Today, I went to Port D'Alcudia to have lunch with Abuelo, Nohemi and Esther. Before lunch, we stopped at the sanctuary at Llluc. We had seafood... OMG the razor clams are super delicious. It was a yummy eating day. It would have been perfect if El Perro Loco was open/back from vacation. I'll just have to wait until the 4th to have my perro rabioso.

Robinho No More

01 September 2008 at 6:25 PM

When Robinho was initially signed by Real Madrid a few years ago, I was super excited. He has definitely been worth the money that they paid for him. This season, he has been whining to be sold to Chelsea. Chelsea offered 34 million euros for him. But Madrid countered with a 40 million euro selling price. Chelsea wouldn't cough up the cash. Robinho whined and said he wanted out of Real Madrid and wanted to go to Chelsea. Real Madrid just sold him to Manchester City for 42 million. That's a major fail for Chelsea and Robinho and a big fat 42 million euro check for Madrid.
